We Need Your Help

REUNIFICATION PLAN HEARING:

When: September 8th, 9 a.m.
Where: Livingston County Courthouse
How You Can Help: Please consider attending the next hearing in the Burns case where Judge Cavanaugh will finalize the plan for reunifying Josh with his family. The Michigan Innocence Clinic will also present a motion to amend Josh’s probation terms and shorten his sentence.

Your attendance at court is a great encouragement to the Burns family. It also lets the court and the community know that we continue to stand with the Burns family in their fight for justice.

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN BOARD OF REGENTS MEETING:

When: September 17th, 3 p.m.
Where: U of M Ann Arbor – Michigan Union Building

How You Can Help: Please consider attending this event to show your support for the Burns family. Supporters will be asked to hold prepared Torn Family signs both outside and inside the Union Building. We will also wear our red “Seek Justice,” Torn Family t-shirts. Please contact us if you need a t-shirt as we have some available.

The Board of Regents consists of elected officials who supervise and administer the massive budget for the University of Michigan including their health system where Naomi Burns received treatment. Brenda Burns, Torn Family Trustees, and other members of the community who have been falsely accused of child abuse will address the Board of Regents regarding issues related to the misdiagnosis of child abuse. Media outlets often attend these meetings.

Information on parking and where to meet for this event will be released soon.

We cannot thank you enough for your ongoing interest in the Burns case. Your support is invaluable as we seek justice for the Burns family. Please consider showing your support by attending these events. We would love to meet as many of you as possible in person.
