Michigan Innocence Clinic Wins New Trials For Tonia Miller
Some good news today: The Michigan Innocence Clinic successfully petition and won a new trial for Tonia Miller in the Michigan Court of Appeals. Miller has spent 18 years in prison after being falsely accused and convicted of second-degree murder in the death of her two month old daughter. She was accused of “shaken baby syndrome”. Our own board member Jeremy Praay has been active in advocating for Ms. Miller. The prosecution has already announced their intention to appeal this decision.
